@@an46788 Hi - That first time ever up there I caught one and missed one monster. The one I netted took a Sulphur Parachute fly; also being my 1st trout on a dry fly so that was quite special for for me! A couple of weeks later I caught my PB wild brown trout on a Walt's Worm jig nymph. We fished in the Cooks Falls area. The water might be too warm now for the trout's safety as we just had a heat wave but if the water temps are good (colder), have fun and let me know how ya do and where!

@@arroworchard1054 Nice! That's a good haul anywhere! One of my favorite boots is the Cabela's Iron Ridge but I mainly wear that during Nov & Dec seasons. I've also had success with Salewa and Hanwag. Salewa wasn't waterproof and didn't last as long as I would have liked but they were my favorite for putting on the miles. Good support and light weight. Hanwags are leather, lightweight and more durable but they're pretty stiff. Good for dealing with rocky terrain.

Not too bad, but sleeves would help for those super cold, windy days. We usually just pack ice and snow from drilled holes. That does a good job of making a barrier.

Awesome video! I'm part of a 60 year old deer camp that's always been family owned in northern NH. We're into our 4th generation of hunters now and it's great to see them excited to learn and be a part of the tradition. I loved the way Everett spoke on camera and his enthusiasm about finally being a part of your tradition put a smile on my face! Keep absorbing anything your grandpa and uncles are willing to teach you, I was in your shoes once and now I'm doing the teaching! Nice video & well put together Andrew. I can film a hunt with a camera arm with a Tactacam remote setup ➕️ a Browning trail camera in video mode & not have that much weight to carry in. I lessened my load by riding a bike with a cart behind it that i lock up & hide. I'm also using a recurve since all my spots r pinchpoints where the terrain brings the deer closer to me. That cuts down quite a bit of weight. It's also nice since the shot process is much simpler when things happen quick. Earlier in the video u had great video showing that great crotch u had your climbing line on. In future videos it would be nice to have a video where u explain the pros & cons of different crotches on several 🌳 in close proximity to each other. I noticed a couple in this video where a person could of had a terrible experience if they were dead set on using them. I used to use & sometimes still do use an open Blake's self tending system using a Sterling split-tail. But it doesn’t work as well with the new 9.5 Sterling static i ordered from the NY guys. Instead I stealth stripped a Petzyl Pinto micro pulley. All i needed was to stealth strip the bottom of the oval carabiner that held the Sterling double sewn loop hitch. Those sewn eyes fit perfect into the gap of that micro pulley. That is always tied on my line. Then i stealth stripped another accessory carabiner that goes through the open beckett on the top of the pinto pulley. With about 18" of paracord which is looped around on my climbing line using an English prusik. It's just above my sewn eye I am able to get up 12' to 15' in under a minute w/o much effort. It is also a very neat & tidy look to it. I'm no spring chicken but this has really been a game changer for me. If i use the Predator line i can do an open Blakes setup with a 5' split-tail system but putting that English prusik on there & tieing off the end of my split-tail is really a much sloppier way of doing things. Of course i use a longer bridge on my saddle cuz my long arms give me 2' of pull b4 i wrap my right hand around the rope again to repeat the process. This is perfect for run & gun when u r in the woods for a whole day & may need to move to get into some hot activity. My run & gun is sometimes just 30 feet of paracord with a throwball to a lower crotch & then after i get up off the ground i can advance my throwball & paracord up the 🌳 while I'm tied in with my linesman it gives me the opportunity to advance to a hunting height crotch with an open system that i disconnect & attach to the paracord to hook my climbing line up & over w/o tieing the whole system again. The more people that can get over the learning curve will be not only safer but more mobile than carrying all that equipment & having to take it all down. Thanks again for video & hope you're onto something promising.😮
